In 1991, three buying groups (FAB, Inc., Premier Foodservice Distributors of America, Inc., and Pocahontas Foods USA) developed IPAP as a strategic alliance. The goal: to provide the distributors associated with these three groups a convenient, cost-effective way to increase their purchasing power. The alliance expanded over time, and IPAP now includes five distributor groups: Progressive Group Alliance, Performance Food Group, Golbon,
Frosty Acres, and Federated Foodservice.
These five groups represent over 800 independent distributors.
Since 1991, they have sold over 1 Billion pounds of
refrigerated dairy products to their distributors through IPAP.
